Just clocked this on Tuttomercatoweb,not seen any others linking us to him.....obviously,don't know if there is any truth to it.

While at least one out of Yaya Touré and Fabian Delph might leave, Manchester City have targeted Irish international central midfielder James McCarthy (25) as a possible replacement.

Playing for Everton since 2013/14 and currently on a deal with Toffees until June 2020, Scottish-born player might leave on an about €21.5/£18m offer.

This was a rumour last summer and was ridiculous but even more this as he's proved to be even less use than previously thought.

glad to see a new CM linked, but he's not good enough for where we want to be, obviously.

though you can say that for a couple of our current CM's already, so who knows.

He's perhaps the best No. 10 in the Premiership but we have KDB, Nasri and Silva. I don't think we can bid for him even if he really is available. Lets hope he stays at Leicester and doesn't go to one of our rivals.

Mahrez isn't a number 10? I'd take him over Navas or Nasri though
 
great player, very skillful but think we have a few that do a very similar job on the squad ....I think Kante at 30mil would have been a better buy for us out of the Leicester players...

You'd play him on the wing instead of Navas? Waste. He's best making things happen on the edge of the penalty area. Great player, or was last season anyway. Might get a lot of attention this season. He is a No. 10 in my eyes.

He never played as a 10 for Leicester, he was the winger with license to roam, like Silva for us.

Mahrez is not a 10 and has never played as a 10 for Leicester, Im not sure where you're getting the idea otherwise. He played principally as a right winger for Leicester and frequently cut inside but he never played as a 10 nor down the middle anywhere for that matter. Would be a huge upgrade on Navas.
