As the season was coming to an end and we were hearing all sorts of possibilities for us in the transfer market now we had Pep Guardiola, I doubt many would have been overly impressed if the window turned out to be:

Gundogan
Nolito
Zinchenko
Sane
Stones
Gabriel Jesus
Marlos Moreno

We still haven't addresses issued in central midfield and at full back. We are also spending a fair chunk of money on 3 players who won't be in the squad come the start of this season.

I don't know how often I can do that.

As for fullbacks, Clichy, Delph, Angelino, Zichencho on the left, and Sagna, Zaba, Maffeoand Dihno on the right. As for being happy with our haul if the above is what we get, I'll be ecstatic

Yes. Moreno went Wright Robinson. Jesus is not native to any country so he also counts as homegrown. Sanes mum and dad are ex-pats but he was born in Germany so not sure on that one.

The whole medical department was subject to an internal investigation close season. I may be wrong but I think two or possibly three got the sack. The team doctor and physio were under the most scrutiny apparently.
