No. Athletic Bilbao buyout clauses are not there to drive up the price. They haven't sold any player they want to keep for less than their buyout clause in recent memory. Llorente, Herrera, Martinez - they don't sell below the buyout and the players know that when they sign the deals.

No. Athletic Bilbao buyout clauses are not there to drive up the price. They haven't sold any player they want to keep for less than their buyout clause in recent memory. Llorente, Herrera, Martinez - they don't sell below the buyout and the players know that when they sign the deals.

Probably a Basque thing, loyalty to Bilbao and a way of making them money and then getting his move.
