Rare to bowl first in England - Ponting at Edgbaston 2005 last to win toss and choose to bowl...
Conditions look good for it, the fact we tore them apart with the ball last time backs up that decision in my opinion. Should be another big atmosphere and a great place to take a 2-1 lead. Will really miss Jimmy of course but I think Wood will step up, he's a decent record there and Broad will be really pushing for that 300th wicket and I think he'll be a devil with the ball this morning.
Feeling very positive. Lyth has nothing to lose, there are no other options out there apart from Hales potentially. On his home ground you'd argue the case for inclusion but give Lyth this series and then review. I don't think you want to change things up too much with a winning team. The Aussies might have got Lyth out quiet easily but had someone new come in they'd be even more pumped to get at them and that's never good.
Surprised they've stuck with Voges. Thought they'd play both Marsh brothers and get Voges out of the side. Clarke looks gutted, he really wanted to win that toss. Comes across as lacking a lot of confidence in himself and his side... they're there for the taking today.
