The battle for 4th place

Based on that we should get enough points. The elephant in the room is obviously the Champions League and how that impacts on Pellegrini's team selections.

I'm hoping we bring the "A" team out this weekend for Stoke and then for Real... see what happens after that.

Pellers might not be overly concerned with the future, but he's a professional and will want to be sure he doesn't leave the club outside of top 4, especially if we don't make the Champions Final (book makers have us at +230 soo we are definitely a dog)

Things fall well for us this weekend...like we win and Arsenal drop points.. (Man U plays FA CUP)
-and we are in a good place after the Real game...
-then maybe he can rest someone on Southampton (although that's sunday and champions was tues)

We have 3 games against sides on holiday.

United have Leicester and Norwich, never mind a West Ham team palying their last game at Upton Park.

Arsenal have Sunderland and us away.

I keep reading posts about Pellegrini only being interested in th c/l but we won all the league games either side of the PSG games, he seems to have got those selections just right to me, and the changes against Newcastle were more or less enforced.

Go to bed Manuel.

I thought they'd knocked that one on the head as well. Winners only, and if the winners are in the CL then it's an extra place for league position.
They have. As it stands now: LCFC, THFC, AFC and MCFC qualify for CL. Let's assume the Rags win the FA cup and finish 5th. Rags go into EL group stage, as FA Cup winners. WHFC would now go into the play off round of the EL. LFC would go into the EL 3rd qualifying round taking City's place as COC winners. If LFC win the EL, the Southampton would take that place as LFC would be in the CL.
Now that's clear, I'll retire to my bed!

Recently updated Odds of Top 4
Arsenal: 94.12%
Us: 77.7%
ManU: 26.7%
West Ham: 5.8%

I think that at this stage of the season, any stats like these should be taken with a pinch of salt. Absolutely anything can happen in any game. For us, one game at a time please, strongest team avail and what will be will be.

Shite at Newcastle, one of the reasons pelly is going, I know the players have to do it, but our results when we play the bottom teams is a disgrace, MOTIVATION, bet Mr Klopp would have got us a result , and we might have scored a goal at villa. Vital we win Saturday.

The result and performance at Newcastle has nothing to do with him going. He has been going irrespective of whether we won the quadruple this season

Exactly. People just want to again point lazy fingers. I'm certain we'll make top four. United have some hard games, and we'll win our last four.
