The battle for 4th place

Huge day tomorrow
I feel whoever is happier out of us and United tomorrow night will get 4th

I may be the only one who feels resting key players tomorrow will actually work.

The spine of our team looked knackered up at Newcastle. Tomorrow is now a must win, or the ball is firmly in Arsenal's court for next week.

I reckon he'll rest aguero, dino clichy and komps. maybe even kev. don't forget the guy is a loon.

Not a loon just understandably fixated on winning the CL as it is his chance to leave a hero (whereas just getting 4 th won't get him that).

His personal ambition to be a CL final manager (aka ticket to manage any top side that asks) coincides with ours to a significant degree, of course, but we have to see more clearly that we cannot just turn up and hope for the best tomorrow as that back up for qualification is vital just in case our fairy tale does not come true this year. Like it will one day soon undoubtedly - IF we are in the thing to start with, that is!

We need to win our next 2 league games to put it beyond any doubt. I'm sure the management team can work this out too. If we fail to the final round of games won't matter as le arse and the rags have more or less byes on the final weekend. Get it done city,Wednesday will take care of itself

I dunno why some are panicking so much about 4th we can afford to draw the game and lose to Arsenal and still finish fourth... they aint making up that goal difference. The good thing about tomorrow is we will know their result before we play, we should go for a win most definitely on paper the easier game between this and the Arsenal one.

I think you need to check the league table again...

That means we need at minimum a draw tomorrow to keep a chance of top 3 in our grasp. Otherwise Arsenal can come for a draw and all but qualify if we mess up at Southampton.

But I suspect we will have so much distraction on our minds that it will be hard to be focused tomorrow.

On a game we need something out of. Even more so if United beat Leicester tomorrow.

And it is one that now is pretty well an absolute must win - too - for Southampton given West Ham's result. And potentially by the time we play United's and Liverpool's.

Playing anything but our best team tomorrow is asking for trouble. But we all expect that this is just what we will do.

Let us hope that those players do have one last hurrah in them. Hope someone offers them a great bonus for the win. A Lamborghini each perhaps.
That's every worst case scenario though. It'll be fine. Don't panic. ;-)

Ah fair enough... well even still game in hand 59 points they win tomorrow(which I don't think they will and they still have West Ham away to come too... I see at least one loss for them there personally) that puts them at 62 us 64 we can draw tomorrow even if they do win that and their game in hand. I was simply saying it's them that has it all to do they need things to go drastically wrong for us and them win all their games if they want 4th which isn't half as likely as some of the flappers are making out. We're in a good position in the sense that we will know their result before we kick off if they do manage to win somehow then we will probably field a stronger team to get a win(we should do that anyway but if they lose or draw I could understand resting a few players).
