United: Palace (W), Leicester (D), Norwich (W), West Ham (D), Bournemouth (W) = 67 points.
City: Stoke (W), Southampton (L), Arsenal (D), Swansea (W) = 68 points.
Arsenal: WBA (W), Sunderland (D), Norwich (W), City (D), Villa (W) = 71 points.

An ugly horrible scraped 4th place finish, no problem :-)

Look out, you'll get a bollocking for not predicting that we'll win every game 6 - 0! Basically, you're saying what I said: if the rags win every game, we may miss out.

Aha, they're more rubbish than us this season, they're by far the worst team in the top 6 & even their fans would accept that - they'll be performing miracles to win 6 matches in a row. I think Palace, Villa & Bournemouth should really be nailed on wins for them, but the other 3 are easily potential banana skins that they'll be very lucky to escape with no damage.

What, you mean realistic ones? Those who base their opinions on reality rather than blind optimism? Yep, really don't need that kind of thing, eh?
We didn't get beat last night did we? We looked leggy against a team fighting for their lives, that scenario kind of makes it an even contest. In my humble opinion I think whoever wins between us and the arse gets 3rd. The rags will get the wooden spoon in 5th. We always put a run together at the tailend of the season and we're on one now. Be positive mate, we'll do it.

Well we better start putting that run together pretty soon ey

man that's going to be close. Leicester without Vardy and West Ham might not have anything to play for by then. Is City/Arse and rags/West Ham on the same day?

So what you're saying is if we beat Arsenal we finish 3rd? I like those odds

No we play Arsenal on Sunday 8th May, they play Norwich on Saturday 7th & West Ham on Tuesday 10th as they'll be a match behind as they don't play this weekend.

12 consecutive wins agains that shower of shite we played last night and then right when we need a win more than ever, our manager plays Yaya alongside Fernando, Delph on the right (or at all) and that utter tool Kolarov for 95 minutes.

You'd swear Pellegrini was a closet rag sometimes.

Give over. Was it his fault the players could pass to each other. That team he fielded had enough quality to bury Newcastle.

Well if we win every match remaining we 100% will be 3rd :-P It's definitely still in our hands, this seasons so unpredictable though, me writing results like that is probably going to be way off the real end outcome but hey.

On paper. And yes, once again his 3rd rate management ability significant impacted on the result.

Can you really explain to me how player a could not complete a simple pass to player b (who on many occasions was only a few yards away) is the fault of the manager. These are international players not some muppets who have just learn't how to kick a ball.

I'm not defending his team selection, but to claim that poor passing lies at his door is just so wrong

I'm not getting into an argument. I think he's a tool and his inept management has directly contributed to many of our duff performances, including last nights. Your view may vary.

It appears it was just too much to expect them to carry on the current form. What baffles me is that there doesn't appear to be any concern amongst the players and manager about the real possibility of us falling out of the top 4. CL appears to be all that they care about. Apart from that:

- Joe Hart - why the fuck does he keep kicking it long to Aguero, you absolute bell-end? He won't last long with Pep if he carries on doing that.
- Kompany was clearly not ready for 90 mins - why not bring him off at half-time or even bring him on at around the 60 mark?
- I love Zaba to bits, and it is really sad to see his demise (although he did prevent an almost certain goal at the far post).
- Kolarov - was he told that he was playing left-back? It certainly didn't look like it.
- Delph on the left? When has that ever worked?
- If Nasri is injured and Silva is clearly being rested, then why not trust in Manu Garcia to provide the creativity? It was Newcastle we were playing not Barcelona!
- Navas had an absolute mare - would Barker or one of the the other EDS lads have done any worse?
- Toure was shocking - a man who knows he's gone at the end of season and couldn't care less - some of his casual passing last night (although he wasn't the only culprit) was criminal.
- Why does the manager think that Bony and Aguero will suddenly work when we need a goal - it hasn't to date?
- Similarly, when has Fernando and Toure ever worked?
- Did Aguero really need to start last night? What the fuck does Nacho have to do to get a game?

All in all a pretty miserable performance by the team and manager.

Let's hope the Rags slip up somewhere or we're fucked. Also, we better keep an eye on the Dippers if they carry on on their current form or obliterating teams out of sight (a four point gap after games in hand looks a bit too close for comfort to me).
