They want Lineker to apologise!!!
Apologise to whom?
Apologise for what?
Apologise to whom?
Apologise for what?
Never thought I’d give this guy a thumbs up…
its a similar message packaged up in todays semanticsI didn't say he did compare with the Holocaust?
He's associated the Tories with the Nazis, which is just plain wrong regardless of the semantics of interpreting his language.
If that was the case at the time I agree. I didn't see that. However he isn't a BBC direct employee so can express his opinion. I don't agree with everything he says but that isn't the point in my opinion. It's state interference in the media. All for freedom of speech, so have no problem with him giving those that want it ,the benefit of his wisdom.
What did irritate me was the flippant ,and giggling response to City's coach getting towed away ,after the Dippers smashed it up,it still riles me even after all this time.
This is the main point of the whole thing - he's disagreed with the government and is now not allowed to do his job.Whether or not you agree with what Gary Lineker tweeted, there’s something a bit disconcerting about him effectively standing down because he took an anti government stance when the BBC’s own chairman is a known Conservative donor.
What are you basing him despising us on? What is your evidential basis for that?He despises City and our fans. How's that for starters? I can't believe the support he is getting on here but everyone has a right to a point of view.
And another option disappears.
He despises City fans? How have you come to that conclusion? Normally on motd when I do watch it he is nothing but complimentary of us.He despises City and our fans. How's that for starters? I can't believe the support he is getting on here but everyone has a right to a point of view.
Exactly. This stuff is how it starts. Ignore hate at our peril.its a similar message packaged up in todays semantics
it’s scapegoat politics
the Nazis used it grab power after a number of factors coincided to make that possible
the Tories are using the same language as a last desperate attempt to cling to power
The scary thing is there are a vast swathes of the country that would vote for them based on this Rhetoric
I agreeWe’ve got two threads discussing the same thing:

The BBC | Tim Davie resigns as Director General over Trump documentary edit (p 187)

Given that this is essentially a political issue, rather than a football one, I’m going to merge the threads to avoid duplication.
