Shea Stadium was pretty much new when The Beatles played there, it had only opened for Baseball in 1964. Demolished 2008/9 after 45 seasons. The Mets did a bit of a Spurs and built their new stadium adjacent to the one it was replacing.
Hope the Etihad is longer for this world !
