I have a bootleg of the original so I'm looking forward to this, but I'd also like them to officially release the original as well.

I assume they may release it next year which is the 50th anniversary in May, along with a Giles Martin version of the album with all the trimmings. I've still got the original with the photobook.

    Take a wild guess.......
Picking one track from each of their studio albums (and 2 from the White Album cos it's a double), and 3 singles, I’d go:

    There’s a place
    Please Mr Postman
    You can’t do that
    Rock and roll music
    Ticket to ride
    In my life
    Tomorrow never knows
    She’s leaving home
    Baby you’re a rich man
    It’s all too much
    Glass onion
    Happiness is a warm gun
Don’t let me down (from Let it Be ‘Naked’)
Golden Slumbers/Carry that weight/The end (trilogy)

    She loves you
    Strawberry Fields forever
    Hey Jude

Heavily weighted with Lennon tracks. Long long long from The White Album and Anna from Please Please Me were near misses.....

    Eight Days a Week

    A Day in the Life
    Strawberry Fields Forever
    Hey Bulldog
    Happiness is a Warm Gun
    Helter Skelter
    Don't Let Me Down (Naked)
    Something

    Come Together
    We Can Work it Out
    Hey Jude

    Favorite album... Hey Jude.

But the Beatles got better and better going on - I wished that they'd remained as a band.

Let it Be contains my two favorite Beatles' songs - Across the Universe and Let it Be - and is my second favorite album from the Beatles.

Who knows what they'd have produced later on should they have continued?

They recorded rough demos of ‘Jealous Guy’ (aka Child of Nature), ‘Gimme some truth’, ‘Maybe I’m amazed’, ‘Come and get it’, and ‘All things must pass’, during the Let it Be sessions, so that’s a pretty solid foundation for another album right there!

Child of Nature was from the White album unless they were still working on it.

My bad! Point is though, they were still churning out so much top quality stuff right up to the bitter end, that they could afford to sit on songs that other bands would have given their eye teeth for. They really were a phenomenon
