The bee gees are proper mancs and everyfink, they are from chorlton, don't you know!

half right.........
they were born in the Isle of Man - their parents had moved there from Manchester during WW2 to escape the bombs.... the boys were born there and then they all moved to Chorlton and then Australia.

they lived in keppel road, chorlton, not far from where i grew up. they were a pretty notorious bunch & were involved in a lot of petty crime including shoplifting & even arson. the story goes that the police suggested to their father that they emigrate to australia in an attempt to straighten them out.
even barry gibb has since said that the way things were going they were heading for borstal.
