Bear with me before shouting Messi at me but who is the best all round player in the world?
Can anyone beat the man who in my view is our best and most important player!

yaya is good enough to be a centre back in a champs league final, play defensive mid for Europes best team and now to play Bo's to box mid and even number 10 for the best team in the prem. I would feel confident him playing in any position bar winger or keeper and doing a job for us. He is strong and quick, he can pass, he can set up goals, he can tackle, he can finish, he can head, he is a destructive runner a winner and he has a great football brain. Add to that above all he has a knack for the big games for city.

I think his being back can win us the league and wracking my brain I cannot think of anyone else around who could so easily be defender, midfield or attack in a top league and do a job in them all!

Is there a better all round footballer on the planet?

Can"t disagree with that too much.

Think a lot of his versatility comes from his time at Barca, they often play Mascherano and Busquets at centre back, but both can play the holding or box to box role (very competently I might add).

You may have a point OP, purely because I can't see Messi doing a job at centre half. If teams were composed of 11 clones of one player then Yaya would be hard to beat that's for sure.

Yaya is better than shriek in every position bar one!

Yaya for me is close to our best at so many facetsif the game it is amazing and I reckon he could play anywhere it is ability to score important goals, set up important goals, smash opposition midfields and still pop up with a tackle or break up of play. What people also don't give him credit for ishiwmuch he directs play nd how often he is our main passer of the ball

It's Phil Jones, do you people not read the papers?

He'd solve the global economic crisis if the rags gave him the time off too.

Sadly peace in the Middle East will have to wait until next summer, as he'll be busy in the European Championships this year.
