The best football stadium where you've watched a game

Estádio do Maracanã was impressive in the late 80's when it was standing, went again about 4 years ago and it's all seated now. Seem to have lost something but then again it might just be in my mind.

slightly off topic but i was so underwhelmed by the swamp.

i can remember going there when goater and shauny combined to get us a point in 03 for the first time and i expected so much more with all the "theatre of dreams" bollocks.

since going back to hell itself when they have expanded it, i still think it's shyt. maybe i'm slightly biased.
No, its shit, no biased. Went to watch England v Greece ten years ago and its a meccano stadium.

I think the swamp is a pretty decent footballing stadium, once you are inside. I like it for all the reasons why people say that the Etihad is a bit pants. You are really close to the pitch, and the seats are packed in tight, and not all split up into sections like ours. Sometimes the Etihad feels like a concert area, rather than a football stadium, and the acoustics are not as good as the swamp as you can't hear people singing over the otherside of the stadium.

how the fuck is this guy still here? i'm not being funny but every time i seem to see him post it's positive towards the rags and negative towards city.

I would love to go to a big game at Dortmunds ground. They're singing section... WOW

I was in there for the World Cup semi and it was an incredible experience.

I have to agree about the Allianz in München. We went to watch an 1860 match and though the top tier was closed, it was still a great atmosphere, with 1860 supporters behind each goal chanting at each other. And the stadium does look great on the approach from the station.

New Wembley too is a great stadium and the view, even from 548 - where we were for the semi-final - was very good. My only gripe was that the escalators weren't working on the way down.

The Etihad is also a superb stadium, The spiral walkways make it much safer than steps would be and the view, even from the back of the Level Three, is great, though our seats are in Row E of Colin Bell.
