was having a kick about with the lads. Was playing world cup a knock out tournment, so the ball bounced on the outside of the area to me i was facing away from the goal so i flicked it behind me and volleyed it to top corner, keeper just standing there with no chance lol. The lads i was playing with couldnt believe since i was a keeper, but since i always been able to strike a mean volley =)

scored quite a few top quality ones (if i do say so myself) but i did play saturdays and sundays for twenty-odd years. My personal favs were: a overhead kick from the edge of the box, a thirty yard screamer into the top corner but the best, or most important, was a run onto a through ball and rounded the keeper to win a very tight cup final 1-0 which made us double winners for that paticular season.

Once scored two goals from the halfway line in a minute.
Playing Sunday league years ago I got the ball at the half, I turned and hoofed it first time and was well chuffed to see it fly into the top corner.
Total fluke really, the opposotion gave me loads of abuse "Stuffy c*nt" and all that. Straight from the restart they fluff the kick off and I barged through them, put my foot through the ball and it flies right into the same top corner.

quality, but wouldn't expect anything less from a midd lad. Was it Middleton sunday league? who for/against?

I was the one left on the half way line for one of our corners. Our corner was poorly executed and thus easily defended, and the ball came out to the half way line. I picked it up and toe blabbed it back towards the penalty area, and it flew into the top corner. I just about managed to disguise my astonishment and claim that I meant it.

I also scored an overhead kick at 5 a side once, and that was an absolute fluke too.

Played at COMS this year and I lashed one into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area to give our team the lead.
I was on holiday visiting my Brother in Germany and trained with his team, which was totally different class to any weekend football you get over here. Anyway, I thumped one into the top corner with the outside of my foot. That was nearly twenty years ago and one I'll never forget.

just remembered in year 9 of school we were in sport and had a training game, the actual team (of which i was in the squad) were playing a game but id been playing golf for the school during the day and wasnt supposed to be back in time but did so i wasnt playing and had to 'train' in 'social football'. in the second half i decide to go in net for a bit of fun. there was about a minute of the Sport lesson left and i had the ball in my hands, decided to put it down and run, the strikers had had enough of the lesson so didnt bother trying to tackle me (this was 'social football'), i took two of the guys in midfield on and then mr buxton (a teacher playing to make up the numbers), the centre back on and slotted home! ok, i wasnt playing against the 1st XI defence but it was a pretty good goal!

got three that i cant seperate...

first was meeting a floated cross with a diving header at full stretch, sending it into the bottom corner
second was a volley i hit on the run at full pelt. lobbed the keeper and curled it into the top corner. think the goal fabregas scored against charlton at the valley only better. (everybody who saw it clapped)
third was a scissor kick from a cross about a foot off the ground, coming in at about 90mph. sent it in off both posts

I scored a freekick just outside my own area went right in top corner. It was good but it was on a 9-aside pitch

There are two that stand out and can't decide what's best.

1. Goal kick played up to me just inside the opposition half, I chest it down, the defender comes tight and I flick it round him, I know I'm not going to outpace him so I hit a looping volley over the keeper that just drops in.

2. Cross comes in from the right, I'm around the edge of the box. Hit the volley as hard as I could and it smashes in off the left post. Think Scholes v Bradford or Berkovic v Ipswich. Total fluke!

I remember once taking a free kick around 30 yards from goal. The wall was 5 deep and i thought i could hit the ball on the ground and manage tojust get it passed the wall on the right side and into the net. I begun my run up and hit the ball....my foot connected with the outer foot and started to go passed the left of the wall......the curve was immence and it hit the net right in the left corner, ever though i was aiming for the exact opposit lol.....well the ball hit the net and i ran over to the 3 supporters and enjoyed my goal. The problem was my manager at the time made me take all free kicks in the future and i never score a single goal since...arh well it was good while it lasted..
