The best Hotel you've stayed in?

I stay in loads of hotels for work. Above a certain level, price is usually no guide to qulaity. I have three that stand out, but the 'best' is sometimes about the overall situation and occasion, not just the place.

The Metropole in Hanoi was world class.

The Grovesner Park in London was total luxury

But my number one is Whatley Manor in the Cotswolds. Spa, 2 Michelin star restuarant ( and it shows) and realaxed but 100% efficient staff. A beautiful place that just ticks every box for me.

Jupiter's Gold Coast
Burswood Perth
Inter Continental Cub floor Sydney
Looking forward to the best of all Southview hotel Blackpool in May

The Vincci Capitol in Madrid- right on the Gran Via. Fantastic Hotel in a fantastic city!

The Waikiki Princess in Honolulu. That was about 20 years ago and I can still remember how shit-hot it was!

stayed in the dorchester last year for the chelsea game, what a weekend.

I was there last year as well.

You can smell the money in that place ;-)

The Jo'burg Sun Hotel. Was working at Jan Smuts airport and the agent put us in the Sun by mistake instead of a cheaper place near the airport. Got away with it for about 9 days 80)

Been fortunate enough to stay at some great places but the two that stand out are

<a class="postlink" href="http://danieli.hotelinvenice.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://danieli.hotelinvenice.com</a> in venice

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.waldorfastoria.com-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.waldorfastoria.com-</a> rooms were great but not spectacular, but the whole ambiance and the staff made it a special stay.
