Looking back, it's easy to forget just how desperately we needed Kolarov by the time he arrived. Bridge had become so mediocre so quickly that we were still playing Garrido over him (even though Bridge was signed as his replacement), and when Mancini came in we played Zabaleta out of position instead of allowing Bridge to carry on. I remember him playing really well against Middlesbrough on Given's debut in 2009, and then he played out of his skin to get one over John Terry when we beat Chelsea 4-2 a year later, but I honestly couldn't recall another game he played in a blue shirt if you paid me.

Can't believe people are putting players like Kolarov who gave his absolute all and had the audacity to stick up for himself when people in the stands were giving him totally unwarranted grief. Yet we had players like Courtney Meppen-Walter who killed people due to being an absolute cvnt. Not even anything Barton or Adam Johnson compare to what he did.
The likes of McMannaman (who even though he does show his Scouse bias, is usually one of the most complimentary towards us and wants us to do well in Europe), Milner, Mills and so on, do not come anything near the level of cvntyness as shown by CMW. People get their noses put out because they think a player has shown a hint of disrespect towards our club. If you asked the fans of other clubs who is the biggest cvnt to play for City, I think most would say Adam Johnson and Joey Barton. Then if you were to mention what Courtney Meppen-Walter did, everyone would put him top of the list.
