I remember those! What was it the console did? My mate on the street I grew up in had one, the jammy twat.

Did it not make sound fx?

One of those 3 wheeler jobs with a sort of boot to put the action man in - just one front brake so prone to jack-knife / topple over on corners.

Raleigh Commando - sort of like a smaller slightly gay Grifter.

Raleigh Sun Solo Racer - shit sturmey archer gears but faster than all my mates on Grifters.

Always wanted a BMX and later a Raleigh Bomber which must have been the nearest thing in the UK to an MTB in the early eighties.

A purple Raleigh Chopper. We couldn't really afford it and I had to save up for it myself. I got 10 pence per week pocket money, and I saved for years, all my spends, birthday money and Christmas money, plus money from some odd jobs. When I had saved £17 my parents paid the other half of the price, which was our agreement. I loved that bike.

Barton wants to make the move to France permanent

Ranger's boss Harry Redknapp indicated that Barton would be in his plans for next season as he looks to assemble a squad capable of promotion from the Championship.

But having been loaned out at the beginning of last season, the 30-year-old confirmed today that the French club have already offered him a contract.

Barton tweeted: "I haven't had a conversation with anyone from QPR since February. When I told them Marseille had offered me 3 years. That was last I heard.

"They know where I am if they want to talk."

The midfielder has not played for QPR since being sent-off at Manchester City

Barton made 21 league appearances for Marseille helping the club finish second behind PSG and qualify for next season's Champions League.

The midfielder's last appearance for QPR was the final game of the 2011-12 season against Manchester City where he was sent-off and subsequently banned for 12 matches.
