I agree with some others, sing the FULL song. Then it would be a real anthem and the verses make it all make sense imo.

quite a few years ago i was listening to the radio and one of englands top referees (at the time) was being interviewed and they were asking him all sorts of questions , anyway it turned to crowd advantage/atmosphere etc and do you know what he said..........." at maine rd when they sing blue moon the hairs on the back of your neck stand up it's awsome"...I have taken some artistic licence there but it is true! It was about 14/15 years ago as I drove through london! I buzzed my tits off!
