The Bluemoon hall of fame, does Rascal deserve a statue ?

Oh! A thread about me, thanks GDM for the heads up.

Like the sentiment Bigg Bigg Fella, but no I can think of people long gone who would be far more worthy than me.

I have been involved with BM for over 20 years now, its been part of my life, i have met some incredible people through here and enjoyed some amazing BM days out. I have met BM people across the country and in Europe and if i am honest i have never met a member i didnt like, even though we could argue like fuck on here.

During that time i have loved here and hated here, my anti Thaksin stance caused some serious rows and it occasionally turned nasty, but one thing i hope that people realise about me is i stand by my principles.

Myself and the sadly departed too young Scarblu were this forums first Mods, they were heady days, the Waldorf massif was at its peak and we had BM corner in Mary Ds. City were shit, Pearce days but we had fun on here and in true City fashion we did it with humour. Scarblu was the funniest man i have ever seen on this forum, he was a genius. His threads on "what happened to brown leather satchels" and " lets talk dry stone walling" were works of literary art. He deserved a metaphorical statue as did Kingy, another sadly departed poster far too young. He was a brilliant WUM, me and him would be arguing like fuck on the main forum whilst DMing each other about having a beer before the game on saturday.

BM was small back then but we were tight, at Scarblu's memorial wake in the Waldorf we had around 100 turn up and we drank all day in his memory, even our resident rag "clappers" turned up to show his respects and was treated warmly.

The forum has character, it still does btw, but back then as were much smaller you noticed the characters. The likes of Billybluehat, Televators, Mcnil, the Blue WKD sisters, Blue 2112, BTH and of course the forum grandad Bill De Niro, a true bluemoon legend.

Times move on though and we had Sam, an amazing funny lad who i loved deeply, he would text me in hospital making sure i was OK. GDM and SWP came to the party and added to the mix as did PB, Ducado, Skashion, Fetters and the much loved and sadly departed Iwasarichfan and Sue.

There are loads of names i will have missed, its not my intention to miss you out for your contribution, its just I have known so many of you over my years.

A forum only works though if the admin creates the conditions for it to work.

thank you for the kind words, i do not deserve a metaphoric statue, I wouldnt want one anyway.

Its the people who run the forum, keep it safe, get rid of dickheads that do.

I will second that nomination , I have learnt so much from Bob, whether its Penis shaped swimming pools or TV settings. My life has been so much enhanced by Bob. Thanks Bob!

Posters like two gun bob make forums better places to visit.

His posts are very Scarblu like in that they can be surreal but fascinating at the same time. To be able to post in that manner makes a poster special, you look forward to reading what they have wrote, you smile and laugh at what they have wrote but they also make you consider your own views on life.

I am possibly best known on here for my staunch left wing views, but over the years posters have made me challenge my own idealism. They have made me think and that is what I want from a forum, it should never be an echo chamber, it should be a place for lively debate.

I recall a debate from many years ago when Kingy was passionate about Joey Barton playing for England and he got loads of shit for it, now whether you like Barton or not is not the issue, but Kingy was proven right and he did play for England.

I used to post a lot in the main football forum, i do not do that anymore, I have a personal friend who wrote Pep's books but i was laughed at because i am not an in the know the person, despite what i said was correct.

Thats the nature of forums, we do not know peoples relationships, a good friend of mine on here who rarely posts anymore is friends with Ferran, their wives are great mates, he would never post what he hears and he told me we had Pep months before it was announced.

So without wanting a statue :))

I would urge you all to follow some simple rules.

Treat each other with respect

Listen and respect peoples opinions

There is no silly question, and no simple answer

Do not be abusive, or take abuse, report it to the mods. No dickheads are better than one dickhead

Basically dont be a ****, i have been over the years but i like to think i have grown up.

I am 60 this year, been a member of BM for well over 20 years, I even remember Ric being at school :)) and over that time i have had some serious rows, some great debates, some fall outs and made great friends.

The one important thing we must always remember is we are CTID
