In a Milli Vanilli esque fashion, the vocal on Sugar Baby Love is not by Alan Williams the Rubettes' front man , it's by another session singer. In fairness to Williams he was the singer for all their other songs.

The Rubettes is bringing back memories of Levenshulme Palace in the mid nineties. The other one makes me think of chin stroking students drinking trendy IPA in the northern quarter.
The Rubettes get my vote for the ballsy fashion choices.

Sugar Baby Love… 70s guff… love it, take me back. I liked the War on Drugs track too, up to the mid point. But it’s the Rubettes for nostalgic reasons!

I recall as a kid trying to hit the high note!
