Yeah, I know it's a bit heretical to suggest that a cover is better than a Beatles original but I agree the transcendental malarky hippie vibe of the original isn't as good as the Banshees cover.

I always seem to be at the end of a good pasting (not just my own choices, but feels like almost every round), so fuck it I'm going to vote Beatles here, just so I can see what it feels like to be part of the winning bunch.

Close call for the wrong reasons. Much prefer the Banshees version of Dear Prudence. I like the Beatles and I like whimsical psychedelia but both these songs sound as though they should have stayed in the sixties. Going to have to abstain.

Fleetwood Mac,Smiths,New Order and a lot more come in this why this one as well.

It is odd. Not a single one of my 5 picks (inc. a NO one) was my favourite song by the artist in question, go figure. Tbh it was all a bit random based on what I felt like that day.

I picked a lot of favo(u)rite songs by the artist but not one was in my top 20 songs -- just a number from my top 20 to 200 list. Wanted to avoid artists I've done album reviews for too. It was really quite random. Was just a bit of fun. I went 2-3 which is better than I thought (I figured 0-5, maybe 1-4).

Out of interest Fog now that three of yours are no longer so to speak are you willing to reveal them you reveal them to a wider audience as I was interested if I voted for all three or didn't cast a vote as such etc.

Beatles Dear Prudence one of the best song on the white album imo and a favourite of mine so easy vote
