Imagine is naive whereas “Heroes” is about a REAL dream, the reunification of Berlin seen through the eyes of lovers on each side of the wall. Cheesy piano vs. Fripp and Eno too. Two popular songs pretty opposed in the way they approach their subjects, lyrically and musically.

Totally agree that Heroes is significantly better than that load of tripe but I'll still be underwhelmed if it wins this comp. Can't argue with the Fripp and Eno point though.

As we've sort of veered onto Tony Visconti territory can you name the artist who he produced who then seemingly name checked him on the album they made together but who was actually referring to a completely different Visconti in his lyric? There is at least one poster who will know this off the top of his head, which probably gives it away.
