I like both of those. Looking forward to giving both a good listen as haven't heard them for some time. Could be a close one.

Bangles is a great version, but Walk on By got me into both The Stranglers and Burt Baccarach as the same time - no mean feat!

Another cover which re-styled a classic to create another classic. Great keyboards too.

The Bangles for me, just. It's a shame that one has to go out as both are good covers.

I'm leaning towards the Stranglers here- they brought a whole new sound and vibe to the song.
On the other hand, although the Bangles did something similar, it really was nowhere near as good as the S&G.
I think overall it was probably JJB's bass sound that swung the balance
