Well deserved. I can't say that I have any great love for the song, but its poppy and catchy enough. I thought I'd probably vote with Sonic Youth but when I listened to it, it's a right horrible dirge! (apologies to whoever picked it!)

Wow, Marvin Gaye is going to be a tough song to beat. I thought I had a good selection in this category but that's a 5-star possible winner of the whole shebang!

Creedence Clearwater Revival also have a fantastic version of "I Heard it through the Grapevine", but I suppose most versions of a song this good would be fantastic.

I didn’t get to play this year (again! - too slow…) but “Grapevine” was a song that I thought of picking.

I agree it could win the whole thing: Gaye’s version is my favourite song of its genre. Simply wonderful.

CCR’s epic version is great too.
