The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 - Semi-Final / SF/M1 / P291 - Gladys Knight & The Pips (Midnight Train To Georgia) v The Who (Won't Get Fooled Again)

Looks like a 2-horse race unless Wickywain has a belter that will stay the course.

I'm surprised to still be top 10 and have one left in. Even more surprised as I thought it was the weakest of my choices.

I'm certainly not progressing any further, so I wish good luck to those left in with a shout of winning (well either that or I am boycotting the awards as I didn't win - such disrespect).
You would have to think that @hilts is out of sight at this point with 2 of his picks remaining (and they must have performed very well to this point to have him so far in front).

Saying that, most people had written us off after Arsenal in 2012 so who knows.

As my good friend Roberto would say 'eeeeez finiish'............. :-)

Round 4/M1

Oasis - Slide Away
v
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

A monster battle to open.

The best Who song vs. --- yes, yes, I know everyone disagrees -- a good Oasis song.

An all-time groundbreaking forever classic vs. a narrower yet still extraordinarily popular classic.

The Who without WGFA weakens their output set more than Oasis without SA, which says something for how great Oasis was.

WGFA for me.

Nothing wrong at all with that Oasis tune, it’s a great song and I voted for it in earlier rounds, but it’s got no chance here.
If this were a thread on any other English or American sporting institution's fan forum on earth, it wouldn't :)
