Dull question again. Anyone got a link to our attendances when we were in the lower divisions? Cheers.

Am I correct in reading that we are now in the highest ever, regular, average attendances in the post war period?

CIty are now, technically better supported than ever before even though the capacity of Maine Road was considerably higher for long periods of time?

A question for Gary James and others, what is the highest average league attendance City have ever recorded?

Pretty sure that the highest ever was our first year at CoMs for a full league season.

This season will be the fifth out of the seven since we moved to CoMS in which we've topped the highest post-War average from before the move. The second worst average at CoMS was higher than all but one of our post-War averages from before the move, while even the worst at CoMS was better than all but three at Maine Road after the War.

I don't have the pre-War figures, but though we had some huge one-off gates on occasions, I don't think the averages were over 40,000. So this would appear to be our best run of crowds ever.

We can extrapolate from that then that City are -

In their best position financially, ever.

Have the highest valued squad (and likely he best ever squad of players), ever.

Have the highest average attendances ever

All of that and we arent overly laden with silverware.

I honestly think the phrase 'You've never had it so good' applies.

Now for that trophy...........
