Astley`s a bit nippy out of the sun today , there`s a nice haze from the east lancs and smell of diesel

It would be good to see a map with genuine borders, because Google Maps would suggest that the Marriott is technically in France, and therefore presumably not obliged to adhere to the alcohol ban. My hotel is in a similar area.

I imagine you could wander into a bar in the Cap d'Ail area which is legitimately in France and there would be f*** all they could do to stop them selling booze there.

If all else fails, find a Carrefour on the way and stock up. I'm intending to spend the afternoon of the game on my balcony overlooking the marina, drinking a few tinnies.

McCarthys Irish bar in Monaco's manager last night showed me the letter from local police. His last orders are 2.30pm. Suggested going up the hill to French part and said the Marriott would be rammed. Monaco doesn't want us here making the place untidy. Nice prom/old Town and train in for the game with take away might be the best option.
