I said to my mam a second ago that a good 80% of the contestants are very obviously backwards to some degree, they have to be. You can only be so naive and these people seem to be beyond naive. It's basically a show where people who would be classed as mentally retarded are wheeled out in front of the public to laugh at and abuse.
That's the premise of the whole show surely?

these shows are the modern day version of freak shows the viewing figures aare at there highest in the early stages when all the idiots are on and everyone can laugh at them thinking they are better than them and look down on them the viewing then drops as the finals approach this is why the x factor is now on for about 20 weeks with about 70% of the shows showing auditions from "special" people
