The Royal Family are well in bed with The Sun, Daily Mail, BBC etc - they know exactly what is going to be published and what content will go out - they probably realize all this intrigue and furore is giving them some publicity and that's what the Royal Family needs every now and then.
Editing photos and giving sketchy clips is only fueling the 'conspiracy gobshites' - they could have squashed all this ages ago but have chosen not too.

The Media are clearly giving different treatment though ? For Kate it's 'look, she's all fine and dandy, now leave her alone' (despite publishing fake or doctored photos)

Meghan it's pure toxic hatred and lies about her that's been going on for years - could you imagine the Media reaction to Meghan if she was releasing fake pictures like this ?

As for social media, that's just a bot filled cesspit for everyone made worse under Musks leadership.

I agree on the toxic treatment Meghan has been given - it’s horrendous. And I agree on social media being largely a force for bad these days.

My point is given the history of young women in the royal family being hounded and bullied by the British press, Kate / Will have every right to want to protect their privacy as much as they reasonably can.

The photo was a load of fuss over nothing really, especially compared to the toxic fake images celebrities and influencers push out which is driving a mental health epidemic in young girls.
