The Championship thread...15/16

Not sure how you can argue that isn't reckless and dangerous. He's poked the ball almost by accident, he's gone straight for the guys leg with his studs. He didn't change his path after touching the ball like you would if you were genuinely only trying to kick the ball
It was almost certainly reckless but that's a yellow. To issue a straight red, it has to be classed as use of unnecessary force and attempting to injure an opponent. I'd say Dean got that wrong and it should have been a yellow but it's borderline.

If you are aiming to kick a ball then you then you then you don't use the bottom of your foot, you use your toe or the top of your foot and then you slow your leg down after you've connected, he didn't. He was aiming far beyond where the ball was hence why he smashed into the guys leg so hard. He's trying to smash the guy and hoping he gets a little touch on the ball so he can use it as an excuse, it looked like a classic old school shit house tackle of deliberately following through to leave one on him. To go forceful with your studs up that high is always reckless and dangerous, not sure how you can argue that

You obviously haven't played much football. You don't win a tackle when the ball is bouncing by poking it away FFS.

Fucking mard arses are ruining football.

I think it's a yellow if you think it's accidentally that reckless but red if you think there is intent, which given that he'd literally just been having a row with Ramirez probably counted against him

I've played plenty of football and if someone went in like that then there would more often than not be a mass brawl and the shit house who went in like that would end up on his arse. You can't "win a tackle" when the ball is 2 foot of the ground, you can only kick the ball and you don't kick a ball with your studs.

Last thing I want is Boro back in the prem. Probably one of the worst away grounds I've been to with their shit fans and half empty stadium.
