But that's the rules when they all kick off.
What I would do though is change the format. I'd put Brighton straight into the final. Wednesday would play away at Derby. Winners away at Hull. Winners into final v Brighton. You still have the play offs but are rewarded for where you finish.

Correct. Somebody once described them as like an international bridge tournament being decided by a game of happy families.
But they were introduced to prevent end of season games being "dead rubbers" and they've worked to that extent.

he is a really nice bloke as well. Regularly goes and watches the local school kids play even at parties etc he always makes time to interact with the wed fans
