The Chants Against Foden's Mum

If they had sung this to Phil in our Treble winning season, no one would be one bit arsed!

I remember us singing songs about Beckham's wife and Neville's family when they won the treble!

We call scourers for being offended by everything and ashamed of nothing!

Whats the difference here?
We also questioned the parentage of Rooney's kids, and whether one of our own player's fathers owned a chip shop. We're not exactly innocent are we?

I'm not condoning it. Its absolutely disgraceful, what i'm saying is its naive to think that it isn't going to happen, especially at The Swamp, and that parents have a responsibilty not to put their children in positions of danger. Letting a kid walk around in a city shirt outside OT on derby day is doing exactly that. Common sense.
What the fuck are you talking about! I’ve already said she was fully aware, and he wasn’t walking around, he was simply walking across to the coach park, maybe his mum wasn’t expecting that grown men would pick on a kid, asking if his mum was a slag! Maybe she was expecting too much…

Pics?

Maybe she’s not a slag, just a MILF.

?.
It's a football match
Been going to our games since the late 60s - seen quite a lot of stuff so I know that going to a match isn't exactly going to church. The rags fans stuff about Phil's mum shows, to me, that those rags are feral cretin morons. Plenty of us make a lot of noise - but no way would that include vile insults about a players mother, wife, sister, grandmother etc.

It's part of his job to field moronic questions and give non-committal answers, lie if he has to. He got this wrong, probably because he has no idea of fan culture here. By all means, give Foden all the help he needs (if any, which I doubt) behind the scenes but say in public that it didn't affect him at all.
Fan culture doesn't have to be insulting someone's mother. It's vile.

Not sure, but I know the difference between a scourer and a scouser :)

Didn't we win the league with a Pedro on the wing? (Or something like that)

Honestly, some people won't be happy until only the sound of polite applause is heard in the ground.

Phil needs to get a backbone tbh, he's gonna hear this at every away ground for the next 2 years now he's shown it affects him.
Did it affect him ??
He's been poor all season.

Interesting subject. Do you think there will ever come a time at a women's match that the chant will be ....Your husband is a 2 timer.

I couldn’t tell whether this affected Foden performance on Sunday……but the subsequent publicity is going to ensure it’s repeated at every away ground we play at.

To be fair, his mum’s behaviour hasn’t helped Foden…..she certainly hasn’t kept a low profile.

It still doesn’t make the abuse OK……but as has been said before on this thread, we have our own repertoire of songs aimed at the reds (and others) so we can’t be too precious.

We also were adamant back then, that Ryan Gigg's had misplaced his birth certificate, contracted AIDS and couldn't cure shake it off!

I agree, but it did affect him, he looked upset and Pep took him off.

But something has to be going on in the background with Phil. He's had that bandage on for over a year, he's recently moved house all of a sudden, rumours of a secret lovechild and other rumours of a stomach problem that might be limiting his physicality.

Who know? I'd take all of it with a pinch of salt, but he has gone from being the young future of City to someone who Kalvin P could have beat to the stating lineup.

The bandage issue has popped up before in general, I’m guessing it’s to cover up jewellery which players don’t want to remove.

Just a guess.
