Some people genuinely honestly think that the last generation is the only generation that tried to change things, people will tiktok the fuck out of the next new thing even if it is cruel.

10,000 years of loud leery cunts wandering the planet and this bunch think they've got it nailed, apart from being arrogant it shows how deluded they are.

When/if Putin kicks off their priorities will come zooming into focus.
 
Anyone who chants homophobic stuff, or stuff about Munich etc will always have a tiny little voice in the back of their mind going 'I'm actually really, really unhappy, I wish I wasn't doing this'. It's just about how long the chanting can drown out this noise in their own head.

Apart from being a throughly unimaginative brain dead chant, the above is absolutely correct. No rules were broken and we’d need to be very fragile to be offended by that. In fact, if regulations for offensive chanting came in similar to the tragedy chanting nonsense I seriously think it would be the final straw with Premier League football, Christ it’s already sanitised enough.

Off the top of my head, I've heard far worse chants at matches about... Hillsborough, Heysel, Bradford, Munich, Shankly, Harry Catterick, Elton John, Bobby Charlton, Paul Reaney, Harry Kane, Posh Spice, Beckham, Katie Price, Wayne Rooney and his wife, Jamie Vardy and his wife... and many more.

Football fans and subtle don't go together.

Obviously, because it's 'one of our own', it's more important to many City fans. At the end of the day, it's only words, and Pep should have ignored the press.

It breaks their own clubs rules.

Persistent Standing: Persistent standing is a Level 1 offense.
Abusive Language: Abusive, foul, or aggressive language or behavior is a Level 2 offense.
Disorderly Behavior: Disorderly behavior is a Level 2 offense.

He couldn't ignore the press as they asked the question. He was then in a no win situation, whatever answer he gave it would have upset some fucker. Didn't hear it, he was lying. No comment on it, he wasn't backing his player. The answer he gave, he's being oversensitive.

I was wondering when offensive singing/chanting came into football? obviously not singing but I can just about remember when Dad first took me & my brother to Maine road (mid 1960s) & we sat in the Platt Lane on the wooden bench seats, if anybody was swearing loudly near us Dad used to say something like "do you mind I have got kids here" & most times people stopped swearing, I dont ever remember anyone telling him to F-off but it must have happened, Looking back now it seems like a very different world :-)
