coral arent daft. like has been said. people will lose that £20 very quickly. they now have accounts and will lose more.

Nobody said Corals were daft.
The point is that they've effectively given every punter £60 for the festival. The £20 on S.S. was the nearest thing to a stranger giving you £20 in the street.

The £40 (4 x £10) they credit to your account regardless if your 1st race horse wins or loses was a barmy idea.

I'll guarantee that they won't be doing it next year.
As for the website crashing, couldn't have happened at a worse time:-

1. The Handicap that follows
2. They sponsor the race - The Coral Cup. the QMCC is a bookies race. They'd have cleaned up with a 33/1 winner.

Talk about foot in the mouth for corals..

I see Aupcharlie is being slightly overlooked by a lot of people tomorrow but at 6-1 and william hill paying up to 4places i think, this is my banker of the festival!

Whats a placepot mate, i had 3 placed horse today but only got like 25 quid back from my lucky 15.
1st 6 races,
I picked 3 in 1st race, 1 in 2nd, 2 in 3rd, 1 in 4th, 3 in 5th & 6th I only did it to 10ps cost me £5.40. Just need a placed horse in all 6 races.

Is that a Heinz bet? Just had a look online and to place one each way at 10p it comes out at £11.40. If you don't do it each way do they have to come 1st?

No mate, a placepot is a pool bet, Run by the tote, but operated in all bookies.. Ask them for a placepot slip. You can pick 1 in each race or more to perm them, if you pick more than 1 in each race just times them all together eg 3x1x2x1x3x3=54 x your stake. Hope this is clear as i'm a little pissed.

Don't get too pissed, I'm relying on your tips tomorrow :) Enjoy your winning ;)

A weird day for me. The first race tought when Nina jumped the last she was a shoe in for the race up the dreaded hill got to her horse and it was going up and down it seemed in 1 place and got robbed on the line at a decent price it would of been.
Sprinter Sacre was great a brilliant ride by Barry on it again. A shame Sizing stumbled on the turn and lost a few lengths to Sprinter on the turn but fair play to Sizing for taking on Sprinter at the old age of 11. I will miss Sizing Europe as I just cant see him racing again in Cheltenham.
The last race and Ruby saved me done it each way a small bet but fuck it. The Irish are doing well so far with 2 more days to go.

I went today - 0 from 7!!!

Couldn't believe Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins won the last at 25/1 - pissed it and nobody backed it!!!

I dont think it would of mattered if he had fallen and remounted
Sprinter would of still beaten him up and spat him out
To pummel the reigning champion into submission like that was breathtaking
The new frankel of the sticks is here for a few years ready to destroy everything in his path :)

Is it better to bet EW?

An Each Way bet is made up of 2 parts: the ‘Win' and the ‘Place'.
Each part is an equal stake, e.g. a £1 Each Way bet will have £1 on the ‘Win' and £1 on the ‘Place' (a total stake of £2).
The ‘Win' part of your bet is on your selection to win the event, and the ‘Place' part is on your selection to finish either first or in one of the pre-determined places.
If your selection wins, both the ‘Win' and ‘Place' parts of your bet will pay out. But if your selection only places, you will lose the ‘Win' part of your bet (and lose that part of the stake) but get paid out on the ‘Place'.
The odds for the ‘Place' are given as a fraction of the odds for the ‘Win' and will be displayed to you when you place your bet.

-- Thu Mar 14, 2013 8:24 am --

A true superstar is born, 19 lengths was breathtaking as you say CM, the Frankel of the Jumps for sure.

I never said Sizing Europe would win but I thought he would of been a bit closer but the stumble put paid to that but a 11 year old against Sprinter is the best anyone can offer up to take it on at the moment. Barry has ridden some wonderful horses in Moscow Flyer and now Sprinter it will go down with the best jumpers along with Moscow Flyer in my opinion too.
We look at the jumps and people go on about Spinter Sacre but look at the hurdlers like Big Bucks and Quevega and those horses could all claim that they are the best National Hunt horses around too.
