I was thinking that - on the basis he was revered last time, he should well and truly splash the cash this time.
In any event, the amounts to sort us out (circa £200m in the Summer), is a mere bagatelle when put alongside the £100billion problem in Dubai, so my guess is the the Sheikh won't blink when it comes to signing off the Torres, Hamsik, Chiellini, Kjaer, Maicon and Lahm deals

You're quite correct about this. Santon and Ballotelli both taken on the cheap from smaller clubs, and when you add Cambiasso for £5m, Maicon for £3.5m and Julio Cesaer on a free, it shows how shrewd Mancini really is.

He must mean ebouie and be referring to him getting badly booed last year by Arsenal fans. I would think we could do a lot better than Ebouie though.

I think the answer to your question is, of course we will,thats why we tryed to sign KaKa becuase we thought we could get him in sooner then expected.
I dont think We spend this much money trying to do what Everton did (get a CL place then get knocked out in the 1st round qualifiers then do fuck all again for years)

Think we'll spend big but on quality rather then quanity. I'd sign 2 full backs 2 midfielders and torres. Can't see more than 5 coming in and maybe 4 or 5 going out

if we get top 4, then we should try and get at least a few top high profile names, if we make top 4 the first thing i would do, is be on the blower to Valencia and offer them 90mill for Villa and Silva.
i think we'll sign about 6 players and see 3-5 leave, we'll make some BIG signings and the rest just genuine quality players, the key is a top 4 finish, it will make or break who we sign in the summer.
