The Co-op Live Arena

I told them not to put City’s ticket office in charge of organising the opening night

Just been to Rick Astley there in the opening test event. Bit underwhelmed to be honest. Very rushed and snagging on a par with the south stand. Also doesn’t feel as big as the arena. Think the capacity being higher must be due to the wider standing capacity?
Isn’t the point of it for it to feel more intimate for the concert goer?

Greatest ????

not sure about tht, she is a talent and vocally brilliant, but doubt she would get near top 100 in contributions to music through history

We'll see I guess. Perhaps (as she sings herself) we already have her best, but I reckon "Sour" is a perfect album that'll be played in 50 years time; "Guts" is only let down by the abominable "Lacy" but "The Grudge" is incredible.

Seen a few videos floating around from the test event.

Parts of it look shocking and dangerous. Wires on show everywhere, sharp edges on metal trunking, doors missing, customers having to step over electric cables cos it looks like the whole things being run on extension leads.

I posted in the other thread last week that I'd been speaking to a guy who's firm had been subbie'd on at the last minute and he told me there was no way it'd be ready.

Be some sort of package deal soon, £1000 for a meal in the city centre restaurant, a matchday ticket then entry to Chas and Dave (or whoever is popular in the hit parade nowadays) at the Co-op arena

Half and half scarves available too
