Re: The Community Shield Official Match Thread

Match we could genuinely do without imo

Not because I cant see us beating em - on the contrary , given a fair referee & a level playing field , I see this as a match we are more than capable of winning

My main worry is that, seeing this as some sort of revenge mission against us for forcing 'Rat Boy's' early retirement, that vindictive old tw*t will instruct camel-gob, Vidic, and the rest of his rabble, to turn the match into a "clog-fest" - thus leaving two or three of our best players injured and out of the Swansea game. - or perhaps (god forbid) even beyond. (as in the case of Colin Bell, Alfie Haaland, et al)

Re: The Community Shield Official Match Thread

Any match against them is likely to be feisty, and a lot of teams we play will try to kick us out of the game. We have to be able to deal with a physical approach and, glad to say, I think we've got more than a few players who can stand up for themselves and mix it with best of them!

Just had a tenner on 4-1 swp last goal, got a feeling it will be a repeat of that day at coms. Bout time we gave them a good stuffing and with our team and last match against inter I think today will be the day! Come on blues!!

I don't know why but i just have the feeling that this day is the start, the start of the season, the start of our meteoric rise, the start of their downfall, the start of what is to come.

Dont get me wrong last season put us up there with the big boys but i feel todays is when we kick on truly fulfil the potential the sheik and khaldoon have given us!
