He really needs to nail it next season. He's needed a rest now for what feels like a full year, and frankly for a professional sportsman it's getting a bit ridiculous.

Bit unfair. He genuinely could do with a rest. Since he's joined us he's played full season for us then Euro's then pre season and another full season with us then off to confederations cup and then will be playing another season for us and then off to the world cup next year. The guy needs a full summer where he can just relax.

Exactly - he needs a break mentally rather than physically.

He should have just feigned injury, its only the confed cup and he's run himself into the ground.

Hopefully it'll be a good game, probably not as good as it's been hyped up to be, but it's been a decent tournament and hopefully it'll be a good match.
