I am sure the right wing used to say things like "lock her up" where dodgy emails were concerned.

Morality for conservatives includes three attributes, loyalty, respect for authority, and sanctity, to the current crop of conservatives it has changed to disloyalty, disrespect for authority and sanctions. Conservatives now stand for immorality, corruption, crookedness, lies and indecency.

It saddens me, I never ever agreed with the politics of Thatcher but I never questioned her moral integrity, she obviously did what she thought was best and yes I hated her for it, but my hatred for her pales into insignificance compared to the visceral hatred I have for this current crop of charlatans, thieves, liars, crooks and misanthropic cunts.

I get what you’re saying, but even though Thatcher may not have been venal/greedy (as far as I know), I’d still say there was plenty of what I would call corruption. There were all kinds of dirty tricks to smear the NUM during the miners strike () for example. The effective impunity she gave the police during the strike was also arguably a contributory factor to the Hillsborough disaster: https://www.theguardian.com/politic...greave-miners-strike-hillsborough-theresa-may

I wouldn't disagree with that, she could be underhand as fuck

But under her watch, Hancock wouldnt have been allowed to resign, he would have been hung drawn and quartered.

This is how bad things are, i am sticking up for a woman I despise. :))
