The Conservative Party

There is always a limit on numbers. The biggest limiter is the number of people who actually want to come here. Hint. It’s not that many.

a thousand in 1 day the other day, that is a lot, especially when they are risking their lives out on sea.

Boris has let the cat out of the bag.
When challenged on his claim that no one would need to sell their house for care he replied that he had set up a structure to allow private insurance companies to come in and sell products to cover on going care costs.
Kerching!
Jobs for his pals.

It isn’t a lot. Greece in 2015 had 800,000 arrive by sea. That’s a lot. Most refugees stay within or close to their home region. Refugees coming to or seeking asylum in the UK do so because of family ties or ties with a community here.

We think it’s a lot because we have no experience or comprehension of what is a lot of refugees. Pakistan has around 1.5m Afghan refugees and that’s the ‘official‘ figure. Turkey has around 2m mainly from Syria. The Mediterranean countries see far more refugees then we do.

In 2020 Germany accepted 128k asylum seekers. Spain 124k. The UK had 30k and that was, I think, applications, not people accepted. The UK barely makes the top twenty of European countries when adjusted for population.

The migrant channel crossings is theatre, theatre we encourage by making it hard for people to come here and allows us to strut around with our ‘Clandestine Channel Threat Commander’ marching up and down the beach shaking his fist at the sea and the French. It’s very silly, very dangerous and very twatish.

Other European countries aren’t necessarily great either, it’s not just the UK, but our perception of refugees and asylum seekers is profoundly ignorant.

International maritime law dictates that they must be rescued if they are at risk of death, so the migrants can just sabotage their (inflatable) vessel or jump overboard with their life jackets on and the coastguard are obliged to take them to the shore of the UK.
We could always Brexit from the IMO reclaim sovereignty over the rules that govern the rescue of people at risk of death in British waters.
Isn't that how we do things in this country these days?
While we're at it we can also Brexit from every international treaty we've ever signed to give us our freedom back. We could be just like North Korea.

French Embassy enjoying themselves by taking the moral high ground and sticking two fingers up :)

They also commented that Patel was ‘posturing’. Good headlines for Patel in the Express though with ‘Brexit Britain Bashes Frogs!’. That it accomplishes fuck all is irrelevant.

"France will accept no practices contrary to the Law of the Sea, and no financial blackmail. Britain’s commitment must be honoured. I said this clearly to my counterpart Priti Patel" - French Interior Minister @FrenchEmbassyUK

Mr.Putin likes this.....

......more funds to the Tory Party !

So what would you do to stop uninvited visitors to our fair isle?

They obviously don't like any of the countries they have passed through, were they not made to feel welcome in any of them?

We are paying the French millions to stop this happening and they are just taking the money and laughing at us.

As a Nation we are a soft touch and everybody knows it.
I'd send them back to the EU country that they came as we have been doing for years.
Oh sorry that ended when we left the EU.
Sorry.
