The Conservative Party

Rees Mogg has just announced that Partygate and a Prime Minister not following the rules he sets is a trivial matter and just fluff. I’m sure that will go down well.
 
How on earth do we get rid of these greedy, self serving fuckers that are supposedly running our country? They are only out for themselves. We have more food banks than McDonalds and it’s only going to get worse for a lot of people in the next few months. This country is in a right mess.

Wait for an election and hope people see sense. Wouldn’t count on it though.

How difficult do you think it could be to get rid, when there are voters who think that this government is doing a good job because it has increased the number of food banks?

It’s astonishing isn’t it. I’m worried about the next few months and into the near future for lots of people in this country. If there was a plan on how to get everything wrong, this government must have it. And when I hear people say that they can’t vote for Labour, how hard does it need to get for people before they see that the conservatives are just taking the piss out of us all? It won’t be long before charities are advertising on tv in other countries for donations to help the people of the uk!

Next few months is going to be simply eat or heat for many and maybe we’ll get a brexiters dream of a return of those old favourites from the great days of empire, like childhood malnutrition and rickets….aaah the good old days.
The serious problem though is the mid/longer term with years of so-called ‘austerity’ ,which we were told was essential for economic recovery, being foisted on those least able to afford it, and the slashing of public funding of state education over many years leading to generations of illiterate and innumerate people (not to mention politically illiterate as well) and the strange notion that an expensive Eton and Oxbridge education somehow qualified you to govern the country.
Couple this with the implication that it was all the fault of someone else that your life was wretched and hopeless, most obviously currently the EU ( though any foreigner will do really) or the last labour government even after not being in power for 12 years, that they were the enemy that we had to unite under the flag to defeat to save our British values and sovereignty and ….bob’s your uncle…80 seat majority, and the lining of pockets at our expense, and an incompetent government led by a serious security risk to the country.

Yes, of course I do.

He waited to see which way the wind was blowing before he announced which campaign he was joining before the referendum. His decision at the time was based entirely on his route to No 10.

I remember the tory party faithful talking about him at their conference when the leadership was up for grabs, and many were saying 'Oh, he has such charisma' or ' He's such a nice man', or whatever. He got the nod, despite him being far from a 'nice man' by anyone that has had dealings with him, and his failings for the post of Prime Minister was well known by those that knew him in Westminster at the time.

He might have looked funny on HIGNFY, but choosing a scruffy bloke that is a serial lyer and detested by all those that have worked with him to be Prime Minister is as vacuous as it gets.
