This is the right plan", Ms Chippy Truss says.
"There will always be people who oppose" particular measures, Ms Chippy Truss adds.
Is there a triple dislike button? Barstewards.Looks like the bastards are going to go back on their promise of the triple lock uplift to pensions and benefits.
He's just been interviewed on GMB. Utterly appalling, even by the standards of the rest of Truss's lot. They don't have the answers so just brazenly refuse to answer the questions presented to them - I know politicians are renowned for evading awkward questions but this lot are just so uncaring and transparent about it, if it wasn't so serious it would be laughable. And this guy is Chief Secretary to the Treasury. That utter Fuckwit Chris Philp on Sky this morning.

You get the feeling that they’ve had to speed things up due to the fall of Johnson and are looking to be out in the next election. This has led to no more back routes, it’s now being played out in plain sight.this has been the end game for years, we're finally seeing it being put into play. swathes of privatisation for a broke country.
As others have alluded to I think they already know this and don't care because everything is going to plan. When Truss finally emerges from occultation today and simply parrots the line that the budgetary measures are necessary to stimulate growth, if I was interviewing her I would ask her to cite one, just one instance of tax-cutting, supply-side measures producing this effect.
I would also inform her that there is evidence that inequality of the sort that already afflicts the UK hampers economic growth, whereas a moderate amount of redistribution does not have a negative impact on such growth.
Here is a link to one of the relevant studies.
There are others.
From the conclusion:
'It would still be a mistake to focus on growth and let inequality take care of itself, not only because inequality may be ethically undesirable but also because the resulting growth may be low and unsustainable. And second, there is surprisingly little evidence for the growth-destroying effects of fiscal redistribution at a macroeconomic level...for non-extreme redistributions, there is no evidence of any adverse direct effect.'
