Got to be Sunak, he’s the only one with any track record and credibility, should have been him instead of Truss anyways. Best thing they can do is just have one candidate - if they need two then put the lettuce forward - that way this can all be over as quickly as possible.

Mourdant was 5/1 initially now almost joint favourite. I suppose that must be down to the confusion over the rules. Can't see Sunak winning a members vote.

The Tories won’t call a GE because they know they’ll be wiped out. They’ll justify not doing it for the sake of “continuity of leadership and maintaining political stability”.
