Nice tryNot sure what you think you’ve seen but I wasn’t arguing at all. I just posted a cartoon I’d seen with commentary attached to it, whatsoever. If it doesn’t apply to your media, good on you.

Yes, I think they are too high to be MP expenses, by a factor of about 10 in some cases. Mordaunt for example.
MP expenses always seem high - just checking that site, mine claims over £200k for staffing, presumably in the grounds that London costs more than Middlesbrough and doesn't have accommodation costs. I don't know details of what's allowed for them, 650 MPs is going to be at least 130M at that rate.
It's not a Conservative thing though, it's an MP thing.
The point being though these are the front bench Ministers - they already get an extra £50k or so to cover the extra office costs - those quoted relate to a 4 year period so if my MP - currently not a Cabinet Minister - claimed £200k in a year - including £2400 a month for "accommodation" ( presumably second home ) I can see some greedy bastards claiming well over a million in 4 years.
They're 4 years? I hadn't seen any evidence of that, and they still seem high; where did you find that?
Accommodation is available in part based on distance from London - those further away are automatically allowed a London base as well. Not sure if it's a sliding scale, but mine obviously has no accom cost, and a travel cost of £83 (presumably 1-2 late night taxis).
yes it says on the list 2018 to 22/10/22
So evil, and paranoid? Many on the right believe the opposite and that it’s a anti Brexit, liberal mouthpiece
Even the BBC knows it's very hard not to blame Brexit for unpicked crops.I had forgotten C4 News - they are good too.
Anything by Ros Atkins on the Beeb is good but you only have to see Beeb doing stuff about say un picked crops and they blame anything except Brexit as a contributory factor - they never seem to challenge the Govt line on anything
Have you heard anyone challenge Govt interviewees when they say "we're following the pay review body recommendations" by saying, "But you told the pay review body how much money they had"?I know so have I, it’s like the Beeb quotes both sides of the argument.
Shocking stuff.
I think mogg got it on question time the other night. He was asked after claiming its set by the panel why it is sometimes/often ignored. If they covered exactly what you wanted covering j couldn't say.Have you heard anyone challenge Govt interviewees when they say "we're following the pay review body recommendations" by saying, "But you told the pay review body how much money they had"?
