The Conservative Party

The next question is whether, having legislated for the default position to be to collect streams separately, and with many people already in areas with 7 waste containers (8 if they collect paper and card separately), do they now blame councils for implementing their legislation?

Laughable. I have been banging on for years that this shower of sh1t never have a plan for anything and when they have had a complete plane now (net zero by 2050) they scrap it.

In any event net zero by 2050 is laughable. World carbon emissions have increased almost exponentially since the 1950's. It's categorically impossible to be carbon neutral by 2050 let alone carbon zero. There is also the fact that if the UK goes carbon zero tomorrow then it will make less than 0.5% difference to total emissions.

Personally I'm more worried about the natural environment, we can mitigate most of the effects of climate change however that's true for humans but not for insects and animals. The loss of biodiversity and the natural environment is inevitable regardless of what happens in terms of carbon emissions.

The only way to meet these targets and also protect the natural environment is to deprioritise growth and basically halt human progress for a century.
