The Conservative Party

Charles reading the King's Speech as if he doesn't believe a word of it!

"My government will change the country and build a better future." (Fingers crossed behind his back.)
With his fingers, I’m not sure he’d be able to cross them.

Can anyone who knows more than me tell me why something like HS2 has to have a vote in parliament to be implemented but there was no vote on whether it was to be scrapped?

In the past there have been amendments to scrap it that had to be voted on?

It's a bit like planning consent. You need consent to do it, but you don't have to do it when you've got consent.

Councils and others are considering whether to take legal action to prevent a sell-off of safeguarded land without parliamentary approval (or at least a "value for money" test).

cheers mate, makes sense. I hope councils do try to prevent the sell off. The tories know they haven't got long left and would just be rushing it through to make a few bob selling it to mates and to prevent the next government possibly making a success of it.

Dorries claimed that the party covered up for an MP who was alleged as a serial rapist. Known as Mr X.

Rosindell hasn't attended parliament for over a year and has been bailed by the police a number of times for alleged sexual offences. I wonder if he is Mr X.

I've seen Dorries reading out bits of her pamphlet ......... comes across for those of us old enough to remember of one of those kiss and tell stories from a model about footballer X and her cavorting and being published in this weekends NotW.

Busty Debbie Braindead reveals all

" he was a striker and I could tell " - she murmurs breathlessly - " he knew where the goal was as he went straight for his target "

Read it all in the News of the World tomorrow.... !!!!

Dorries presents what she says is a serious political expose in the style of a down market 50 Shades if thats even possible

Back-peddling like fuck on critically important climate change mitigation policies, to squeeze a few more quid out of fossil fuels
Tough on crime but not the causes, building more prisons probably cheaper than investing in social improvement and inclusion-and it grabs more headlines to delight the wankers
Blaming the homeless for their "lifestyle choice"
Proposing unworkable anti-smoking laws whilst a generation of teenagers get nicotine addiction from the million vape shops cluttering dying high streets unable to compete with online tax-dodging corporations

His Wiki page makes interesting reading.

There seems to be some correlation between being a Brexit supporter and being batshit crazy.

I don’t know if the new oil and gas thing is really bad or just pointless I don’t see how much the oil licenses will be got out of the sea with the move to clean energy and also will the licenses even be popular give us the costs move to clean energy and oil in existing fields

They'll probably have some take-up.
I think some of it is a political manoeuvre for when they're not cancelled and they can construct a media narrative about Labour's green credentials. ("Hey look at us encouraging investment in your region, they're going to stop it")
