I thought they were planning to give the vote back to ex-pats before the next election. How's that going to work for them?

For the first 10 years (I think it is) after you move abroad you already still have the vote, in the constituency where you were last registered. So I have a vote in 2024.* Not really sure to be honest what they are planning for ex-pat voting in the future. Ten years in my case would be 2028 by which time I think I will have either definitely come home or made my peace with being in Germany.
*My vote won't actually make a difference of course, I'm registered in a constituency with a Labour MP with a sitting majority of like 20,000.

It was 15 years, but it's being scrapped, so Tories voters overseas can vote for life.

They can also donate to whichever Tory party they support for life too.

Yet the Tories scream scandal if Labour suggest allowing Europeans who actually live here, and have for years, want to vote in this country.
