The Conservative Party

Some may get offended, some many not. However, the use of that language by somebody who holds one of the few major offices is unwise and definitely not called for.

Just more confirmation that their judgement is impaired and that they think this is normal behaviour.
Tories mustn't be able to believe their luck being 'held to account' for this shit joke rather than the last decade plus of government.

Clever Cleverley!
It must be a pitch for a post political career advertising contract.
You know the sort of thing………………
Holding up the product and grinning with the strap line;
’Rohypnol - my date-rape drug of choice’
It probably is for a sizable portion of Tory MPs...

So thinking jokes about rape are a bit naff would now qualify as a bit too woke?
There’s a difference between naff and offensive though.

It’s the same as free speech. You can say what you want, but you will have to face the consequences of any reaction you get.

The context of who and where this joke was made make it an unwise thing to have done.

Had Jimmy Carr used that joke in his stand up routine, it’d not have made the same headlines as Cleverley has.

A few things about your poorly conceived post.

Firstly, not sure where you’d arrive at the conclusion that I would ever deploy as wanky term as ‘woke’. It doesn’t exist in my vernacular.

Secondly, the term ‘naff’ is anachronistic and wanky. Again, you are deploying a word that is extraneous to my lexicon. On what planet would someone who routinely uses the words ‘wank’ and ‘****’ ever use ‘naff’. So, no. It’s not ‘naff’. That word doesn’t exist in my vocabulary.

Thirdly, Cleverly wasn’t joking about rape, he was joking about putting his wife to sleep. Don’t think the ambit of the joke was that he was going to rape her whilst unconscious. Interesting you’ve made that leap of imagination though.

Fourthly, notwithstanding the foregoing, your post makes no sense to me. What relevance does it have to cunts being far too easily being offended on behalf of others?

So why don’t you address that instead?

Are you offended by what Cleverly said? And if so, on what basis?

You seem easily offended by people being offended...
