The oddness I referred to was the language used in the post, rather than the disdain shown to the current government. The fact that this never occurred to you suggests you probably spend a bit too much time on here reading this sort of stuff. But you shouldn’t kid yourself that it’s normal.

As for the poster who follows me around the forum, you should perhaps read his post again given that he readily admits to doing it. It doesn’t particularly bother me - if that brightens his day then good luck to him - but I do find it a bit strange.

There’s plenty left to debate as well, by the way. I’ve barely started to be honest.

More people find your defence of the indefensible strange, but the fact that never occurred to you probably suggests that you are too blinkered to notice.

There isn’t much to debate anymore. Your party is in its death throes.

Do you think they’ll get more or less seats than the Lib Dems in the upcoming election?

The Tory party as we traditionally think of it has been dead for a while now I think. It's hard to see how it resurrects itself as anything other than a hard right minority party given that Labour has essentially taken the centre right position. Assume it'll naturally appeal to maybe 20% of the electorate and then seek to pull in more on the back of general disgruntlement. I assume the main issue for the Tories now is how it chooses to deal with the challenge Reform presents to them.
