If Sunak wants to hold a GE concurrently with locals, the latest he can wait to announce is this coming Monday.

It looks now like that’s not going to happen but this begs the question… if they get an absolute shoeing at the locals (which it looks like they will), and a bunch of letters subsequently go in over the weeks after the election, then will his hand be forced to running one in July/August which is high-time for boat crossings?

The resistance to calling one seems increasingly like playing with fire.

The government of the day need to put legislation to empower OFCOM to rule on these type of shows appearing on YouTube.

Come the election these will ignore Purdah to test how far they can go.
